A large image stretches across the top of the page, though the block of text below overlaps onto it. The image itself is of a series of huge, rectangular objects floating in the sky, viewed from below. They reflect bright sunlight, though the undersides are dark. Small lights are scattered across their sides. Three long, white trails curve downwards from between two of these metal objects.

the LYNDWIRM

<-- back

Lyndwirms (not "lindworms" or "lindwurms" - the spelling is intentional) are bipedal, dragonlike creatures whose appearances and abilities vary greatly. Most lyndwirms have two legs, two arms, a tail, and a nonhuman face with a snout of some kind - though divergences & mutations are very common. Quite a few of them also have sensory appendages of some kind on their head, which usually appear to be upright "ears" or spikes. There really isn't a limit to what colors, body formations, sizes, and other aspects that lyndwirms can have. If anything, "lyndwirm" used as a sort of umbrella term for sentient bipedal beings that lack a humanlike face.

Lyndwirms live alongside humanoids and can communicate with them just fine. They are omnivorous, though some individuals may have the ability to safely consume materials not usually intended to be edible. Those who have sensory appendages are able to sense minute vibrations and air movement, which can come in very handy in the event of a Tower Station collapse - or overwhelming, if standing on the decks of a fast-moving airship.

Underneath the text is a long image with six lyndwirms standing next to each other. The first, on the far left, is short and nervous. It wears a sweater and has a clear, jelly-like body. The second is taller, dark grey, and spiky. They wear a light-colored jumpsuit. The third is a bit taller, standing in a position that suggests she has quite a bit of power. She also wears a jumpsuit. The fourth is a bit shorter than the third, and has wings and a long tail. He wears some sort of uniform, along with a cap and some goggles. The fifth is the tallest of the bunch, with no eyes or mouth. He wears a variety of dark clothing, and has hooves. The sixth and last is shorter, standing a confident pose. She is spiky and a bit wide, and holds a cane out in front of herself.

Underneath the picture of the lyndwirm group is a small, dark grey symbol resembling a lyndwirm head. It appears worn. It floats over a large background image of some kind of figure standing in a windy field. The figure appears to be looking upwards, but doesn't have any eyes. Beams of sunlight shine across the grass. There are huge structures in the background, appearing to have fallen into the hills beyond. They are long and rectangular, similar to the machines in the sky in the first image.
